As we head into the holiday season for 2019 and get ready to say Goodbye to 2019 and welcome 2020 I think it is a worthwhile exercise to try to read some books that can set you up for success. So here I present you with my recommended list of books that you should read.
Updated: Jun 7, 2023 I will keep updating this list as I read more books.
Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki | This book gave me a perspective on why making money work for you is more important than working for money
The 4-hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss | This is a really good one and talks about thinking in terms of relative instead of absolute money and how you can live life like a millionaire without being one
7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey | Good perspective on the habits that can make you really successful both professionally as well as personally.
The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham | This book explains the concept and importance of value investing by none other than Benjamin Graham (Father of Value Investing)
Good to Great by Jim Collins | This book is a fantastic read as it explains why some businesses excel and take the leap to grow from good to great. Most of the principles can be applied to your personal life as well.
Die with Zero by Bill Perkins | The book provides practical advice and strategies to help readers align their financial choices with their life goals. It explores various aspects, including spending on experiences, determining the value of time, making smart investments in personal growth and relationships, and understanding the psychological and emotional aspects of money. |
